Rainforest Reception with Amazon Watch and Rainforest Action Network

As part of Climate Week NYC, Hope House hosted the Rainforest Reception, an evening of inspiration and celebration in partnership with Amazon Watch and Rainforest Action Network. The event honored three remarkable Indigenous leaders, Nemonte Nemquimo of the Waorani Nation, Puyr Tembé, leader of the Tembé Indigenous peoples, and Célia Xakriabá, Member of the Chamber of Deputies of Brazil. With a blend of personal storytelling, reflection, and coalition-building, the reception underscored the critical role of Indigenous leadership in protecting the world’s rainforests and combating climate change.
