NDN Collective Reception

As part of Climate Week NYC, Hope House hosted the NDN Collective Reception, an intimate and laid-back evening designed to foster meaningful connections and collaboration among attendees. The event provided a welcoming space for casual networking, light speeches from NDN leadership, and opportunities for attendees to explore shared goals and visions for Indigenous-led climate action.

Challenge:

Indigenous communities are on the frontlines of the climate crisis, yet their voices and leadership are often marginalized in mainstream environmental initiatives. Creating spaces to amplify Indigenous perspectives and facilitate genuine collaboration is essential to building a more inclusive and effective climate movement.

Solution:

The NDN Collective Reception offered a relaxed atmosphere where funders, advocates, and Indigenous leaders could connect and engage in meaningful conversations. Light programming, including speeches from NDN leadership and funders, highlighted the critical role of Indigenous-led solutions in addressing the climate crisis. The evening also featured multimedia elements, such as video presentations, to showcase the impact of NDN Collective’s work.

Outcome:

Attendees left the event with strengthened relationships, inspired by the power of Indigenous-led action and the collective momentum for climate solutions. The reception catalyzed new collaborations and reinforced the importance of centering Indigenous voices in climate conversations.
