Earth Disco

As the hottest night of Climate Week NYC, Earth Disco brought together climate activists, artists, and supporters for a vibrant evening of music, celebration, and purpose. Presented in partnership with Seventh Generation, the event fused activism and joy, creating a space where attendees could connect, recharge, and dance in solidarity for a better future. Hosted by the iconic Pattie Gonia, the evening featured performances by Hila the Earth, Madame Gandhi, and DJ Eric Terena.

Challenge:

The climate movement often faces burnout and fatigue, with limited opportunities to balance urgent action with moments of joy and community. Activating spaces where people can celebrate shared values and recharge is essential to sustaining engagement and inspiring hope.

Solution:

Earth Disco redefined climate advocacy by combining joy and activism. Through powerful performances, an inclusive atmosphere, and a commitment to equity, the event highlighted the importance of celebration as a form of resistance. Over 100 tickets were donated to youth, Indigenous, BIPOC, and LGBTQ+ activists, ensuring diverse representation and access. All proceeds benefited Better Earth, advancing its mission to cultivate climate leadership and equity.

Outcome:

Earth Disco energized attendees with renewed purpose and hope, reinforcing the idea that activism can be joyful and inclusive. The event fostered meaningful connections, supported Better Earth’s philanthropic initiatives, and showcased the power of the arts in driving climate action.
